About the Event
Event: Campout - Kennedy Ranch April 2022

When: Apr 22, 2022 6pm to Apr 24, 2022 12 Noon
Meet at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church - 11735 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 at 6pm for 6:30 departure.
This location can be challenging to find if we don't travel together as a convoy.
*Please post a note in Scoutbook if you plan to depart ahead of the group and/or if you are coming up on Saturday.
DEPARTURE
We will meet at the church parking lot at 6:00 PM and leave promptly at 6:30 PM. We will return Sunday around noon. Scouts will call to have parents meet them at the church once we’re back in cell phone range.

OR make sure you are navigating to Miles Ranch Trailhead before you lose cell signal.
Every driver should bring at least five gallons of water!
SEATS
We will need enough seats for all the Scouts. This is a rough road so no small cars should attempt it!
GAS MONEY
All passengers not riding with their own parents need to have $10 gas money. We will check money at the parking lot. Passengers are to hand the gas money to their drivers before we leave the parking lot.
SCOUT MEALS
All scouts are to cook and eat as patrols for Saturday morning breakfast, Saturday dinner and a light Sunday breakfast. All scouts and adults need to pack their own sack lunch for Saturday.
ADULT MEALS
Here’s the good news. Troop chefs will be cooking up a storm for us this weekend. Adults need to pack a sack lunch for Saturday, but the rest of the meals (breakfast, dinner, light breakfast) will be provided. Please bring $10 to cover these three meals.
GEAR
Pack for a car camping outing. There is no longer a swimming hole but Scouts may want to bring swim trunks and water shoes if they want to play in the creek. We might find another swimming hole!
All scouts need to pack all their gear plus a day pack with at least two liters of water and a first aid kit.
