What will we be doing?

Each year Troop 109 holds its Survival Outing in the pines. Each patrol will camp with minimal equipment and food, hoping to survive the night. All Patrols that survive and make it back to camp will be rewarded with a delicious breakfast cooked for them by the Troop 109 leaders.

IT’S A COMPETITION TOO! Each patrol can earn extra food by excelling in their survival skills. Patrols will be judged on the quality of their shelter, safety of the campsite including campfire, and quality of cooking setup. Attitude counts!

SCHEDULE: Fri, Aug 19, 6:30pm to Sun, Aug 21, 11:30am

The site is just over two hours away. We encourage you to bring dinner and/or eat before departure on Friday. Troop will meet at the Church parking lot at 6:00pm. Leave about 6:30pm and will be arriving at the campsite in the dark (which is fun and adds to the adventure).

Each patrol will cook their own Saturday morning breakfast – complete and cleaned up by 8:30.

How do we get there?
